Winter holidays - Christmas and New Year- are very special family holidays, when people want to feel at home, or that they belong to the family that is always there for them, where they are truly loved and awaited. For the children in orphanages it is a special time too: they are looking forward to the miracle to come. They want to be part of the family. Those wishes not always come true and it is really heartbreaking.

But this year is different, this holiday season was a true miracle for the children in Gorodische orphanage as their Irish family was there for them to give them love, warmth of their hearts and make their dreams come true. Ruth, Rosie, Don, Joanne, Kate, Gary, Laura and Claire were there for the children during Christmas time and New Year. It has really been fantastic time! Fabulous moments, pure happiness and incredible joy! We can never stop being grateful to these people who devoted their time to the children during most important family holidays! Our volunteers didn't hesitate a moment and decided to be right where they belonged - with their Belarusian family! We thank you very much for coming over and bringing lots of happiness in the lives of the Gorodische children!!! Wishing you and your families lots of happiness, greatest health and countless bright days that you can spend with the children of Belarus and your own families!
